OUR HISTORY
1895's
McKee Button began with the vision to manufacture quality buttons made out of clam shell. Founder's James S. McKee and W.E. Bliven quickly embraced the latest technology, an automatic button machine. By the turn of the century McKee was identified as the largest manufacturer of pearl buttons in the world.
1950's
The apparel industry quickly transitioned from pearl to polyester as the prefered material for buttons. McKee adapted to the material change, always keeping up with the latest technologies.
